Using the story of his young physician hero\, Dr. Don Newman\, he will show the kind of courage the path to best evidence-based practice and true health system transformation demands. In light of these stories\, his talk will examine why the world of modern healthcare—more than any other social sector in the United States today—needs heroes. Dr. Bailey will discuss what it takes to stand up to the forces in American medicine that routinely trade patient health for profit. Dr. Bailey will be available after the lecture to sign books. The event is open to the public. \n
